Financial Access advised Banco Bisa to reduce the NPL rate, improve the quality of the loan portfolio and to create a Risk management unit in accordance with International Banking Best Practices. The implementation phase covered the following areas:
- Market risk;
- Treasury management;
- Operational risk management.
Financial Access was retained by a leading microfinance institution in Bolivia to analyse their IT systems and provide recommendations for improvements. The project consisted of three phases:
Phase 1 – Analysis:
- Understand the capabilities and features of the two current IT systems and use them against strategic or tactical factors for an initial assessment of the need to replace or maintain these systems in the current application environment
- A technical analysis followed by two rounds of interviews with key users and all stakeholders to describe and / or validate the requirements and expectations of the future solution
Phase 2 – Creation of a short list of system solutions.
Phase 3 – Creation of a Request for proposal for system replacement.
